1、led strip light flicker
encountered a flashing light bar problem,generally , there are following reasons:a. program reasons, logic errors, or time sequence errors lead to misjudgment of the signal by the led. if you do programming by yourself, you need to pay special attention to this issue.
b. when underpower,and the current is high, the overcurrent protection circuit acts, and the power supply turns on and off repeatedly. in this case, the higher power supply should be replaced for troubleshooting.
c. the wiring is too long and easy to be coupled with interference to cause flickering, shorten the wiring to inspect.in strong interference environment ,grounding shielding can be used for wiring.
just a part of the strip works from a certain pixel, or only lights up but static, there are usually following reasons:
a. the signal on the led strip is transmitted in series, so the problem will be caused if there are broken wires, short circuit, damaged welding pad and damaged smd led.in this case, the defective light strip should be replaced for troubleshooting.
b. insufficient control points of the controller caused the problem. to solve this , increasing the number of control points, or change controllers, and check whether the break-point is still in the original position.
3、low voltagethe lighting becomes yellowish or even reddish, and if the distance between the led and the power supply end longer the worse it gets, as shown in the figure below.this is due to the interaction of resistance and current along the circuit, resulting in voltage loss, undervoltage causes the problem.this can be solved by power supplement. please note, insufficient power or low output voltage can also cause this problem.
4、the first led is easy to damage
a. when the internal resistance at the output end is very tiny or the lead wire is very long, large transient current is likely to be generated when the power is switched on and off,so that damaging the first led of the led strip.therefore, when installing or changing the circuit connection, the power supply must be cut off to prevent the components from being damaged by large inductive shock. follow the first signal in then power on , first signal remove then power off principle while operating. when necessary connect in series 75 ~ 200 ω protect resistance or tvs diode in the input end of the signal.
b. the limited capacity of the protection circuit for obsorbing the instantaneous energy is limited. too high instantaneous signal and too high electrostatic voltage will break the protection circuit.so when soldering, the soldering iron must be reliably grounded.
c. due to the material characteristics of the leds, the tolerable temperature of the led is limited, so the welding temperature and time should be well controlled.avoid high temperature causing leds to fail.general manual soldering temperature is 320~330℃.
d. the welding pad at the input end is vulnerable to damage while pulling the wire, it causes damage in this way. therefore, be careful to protect the interface and avoid rude operation.
